10th Annual Ride for Miles
The 10th Annual Ride For Miles will start at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017, but arrive at 9:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. for coffee and comments. As always, the Ride will start and finish at John Carroll University’s Dolan Science Center. You can register to ride or volunteer via the Ride For Miles website (http://www.rideformiles.org), which also has more information about the ride. You can also make donations through the website. Proceeds support environmental initiatives at John Carroll University and bike safety.
This family bicycle ride honors the memory of Miles Coburn, who was a Cleveland Heights resident and biology professor at John Carroll University, specializing in fish. Miles was killed while riding his bicycle in Geauga County, and his brother, Chris Coburn, has been organizing this ride ever since, with lots of help from volunteers, musicians, restaurants and more.
