Become an HBC Board Member
Several of the current HBC board members are stepping down at the end of their terms this spring and we are looking for new members!! We are a small but mighty organization and are proud of our accomplishments in the four years since our birth:
- Supported the City of CH in achieving the League of American Bicyclists Bicycle Friendly Community designation
- Led summer evening community bike rides – Free Wheelin Wednesdays
- Coordinated bike clubs in 2 CH-UH elementary schools
- Partnered with the City of CH and University Circle on a grant that improved bicycle access on Edgehill Rd – a major connection between the Heights and Univ Circle
- Produced a Heights area bike map – the new version is in the works, coordinating with Bike Shaker
- Increased number of public bike racks in City of Cleveland Heights
- Partnered with Friends of the CH-UH Public Library for the BookBike initiative
- Encouraged the city of CH to form the Transportation Advisory Committee
Do you know someone who wants to make a difference in cycling access in the Heights by continuing with and building upon these partnerships and programs? Are you an HBC member? Nominate someone:
Nominations from HBC members are requested by the March 4th Annual Board meeting and will be voted on by the membership at the April 1st Annual Member Meeting. For more information, contact Sarah O’Keeffe at chbikecoalition [at] gmail [dot] com, and write BOARD NOMINATION in the subject line.
