Bike or Walk to School Day is Wednesday, October 9
Rich Wright, the physical education teacher at Noble School, is handing out flyers promoting Walk or Bike to School Day.
Vince Nemeth, the physical education teacher at Monticello Middle School, has arranged for Cleveland Heights bicycle police to come talk to sixth graders about safety.
Julie Lustic, Canterbury physical education teacher, with PTA support, organized a bike rodeo on October 2 and is promoting Walk or Bike to School Day on October 9. Canterbury has just started an after-school bike club, too!
Alice Stratton, Fairfax physical education teacher, is promoting Walk or Bike to School Day. The school has an all-grades bike rodeo in the spring, and also has an after-school bike club.
Fiona Connor-Kuntz, Gearity Professional Development School physical education teacher, has done much to promote bicycling, including organizing bicycle-oriented professional development for district PE teachers. With the support of the PTA, she also promotes Walk or Bike to School Days and has organized bike rodeos at Gearity. She has a fleet of bikes for kids to use at rodeos.
